How to Lose Weight with a Juice Fast

Juice fasting is a great way to lose weight or detoxify your body. It's easier on your body than a water fast and it's good for people who don't want to lose any muscle or who lead an very active life. Juice fasting can be customized to fit all lifestyles and goals.

Things you'll need

A blender or juicer

Fresh fruit, or pure fruit juice.

Step 1: Select desired fruit. Different fruit has different nutrients and calories. Basically all fruit is healthy, but some fruit has higher fat and protein than others.

For example:

One medium apple with skin contains approximately 0.47 grams of protein and about 95 calories.

One medium avocado contains approximately 4.02 grams of protein and about 322 calories.

One medium banana contains approximately 1.29 grams of protein and about 105 calories.

If you simply want to lose weight, make sure you chose fruit that is low in calories and fat, if you want to detox and continue building muscle make sure you eat fruit higher in fat and protein.

Step 2: Clean and wash fruit

Step 3: But the fruit in your blender or juicer, if it has a skin, remove the skin.

Step 4: You can add pure sugarless grape, apple or orange juice is the mixture is too thick.

Step 5: If you require more protein, add some sugarless soy milk.

Step 6: For additional benefits drink tea like oolong tea, green tea or black tea.

You can stay on this fast/diet longer than a water fast and by blending the fruit together, you are using less energy to digest the food and your body will spend more time detoxifying your body. When you return to normal food, do so slowly, avoid alcohol, fast food and other processed food, especially soft drinks.
